A Christmas Story Brought to Life

Conceived as a theatrical festive experience, Christmas Gala transformed the season into an immersive world of storytelling, spectacle and celebration. At its heart stood a 34-foot Christmas tree, surrounded by a cast of larger-than-life characters that invited visitors into a playful narrative universe.

Inspired by the idea of anthropomorphism, the art of attributing human traits to non-human entities, each animal character was designed with a distinct personality, role and visual identity. From grand entrances to unexpected encounters, the installation unfolded as a narrative that the visitors could step into and explore.

The Craft Behind the Concept

The characters were brought to life across stages, from sketches and clay model prototypes to large-scale 3D fabrication, hand-finished detailing and bespoke costumes, tailored to their individual personas. Rich festive colours, layered craftsmanship and carefully choreographed spatial design created a world that felt both whimsical and refined.
