Royal Diwali

Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla, Mumbai

‘The history of Jewels in India is, to a large extent, the history of the country itself.’ With a legacy of over 5000 years, India's jewels are a striking expression of the country’s aesthetic and cultural history. The installations were inspired by the ancient treasures of the royal families. Various birds and animal forms were the highlights of these treasured objects. These extraordinary treasures were recreated by an enamelled gold and jewel-encrusted inkstand in the form of a Peacock barrage with oars, and an anchor. The peacock barrage was set up on a surface that resembled a water body using a mirrored coloured acrylic base with lotus leaves surrounding giving the entire installation regal look and feel.
